My favorite Indian opening batsman was Virender Sehwag. Virend Sehwag was the right arm batsman. He started playing for India in 1999. He was not an opener batsman for India before but after playing for a couple of years, he starts to play as an opener batsman.

Virendra Sehwag is actually known as a hitter batsman. He doesn't care about who is the bowler on the other end. He had only one philosophy, sighting the ball and hitting the ball that all.

I was not used to watching the match until not known to Virendra Sehwag. I remember the 2003 word cup Final match.
Only the batsman Virendra Sehawa was hitting all Aussie bowlers from one end. At that time there were all brilliant bowlers in Australia like Brett Lee, Glenn McGrath.

From one end wickets were fall and on the other end, Sehwag was trying to hit all balls out of the boundary. That day I feel that this kind of batting can also do against strong team Australia.

Unfortunately, Sehwag runs out just because of trying to steal one run, otherwise, India might be a world champion in 2003.

Virendra Sehwag has held one more record against Pakistan in test cricket. In 2004 India went on a tour of Pakistan. It was a test match in Multan Virendra Sehwag smashed his maiden 309 runs and earned a name 'Multan ka Sultaan'.
Virender Sehwag was the only Indian batsmen who hit a Triple - century.

In IPL also Sehwag held a record as an opener batsman. There was a match with Punjab Kings 11 and Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2014, Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Sehwag hits 122 runs just in 58 balls and destroyed the balling line length of Chennai super kings and Punjab won that match with 22 runs. He has completed his 100 in just 50 balls

I remember that 2011 semi-final match India vs Pakitan. After winning the toss Pakistan chooses to field first. Sachin and Sehwag come for the opening. As always Sehwag opened with 4 runs. In the same match, Virendra Sehwag hits 5 Four in a single over. Abdul Razzaq came for 3rd over and Virendra Sehwag duck only one ball and the rest balls hit out of the boundary.

Virendra Sehwag always played for India as an opener batsman in all formats of international cricket. He will be my all-time favorite batsman in all 3 formats game.
