Today I will talk about Zimbabwe cricketer Brendan Taylor. Bandan Taylor is one of the best batsmen in Zimbabwe. He was once the captain of the national cricket team in Zimbabwe. He was born on 6 February 1986 in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Taylor played Zimbabwe Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his ODI debut in 2004 against Sri Lanka. In the third match of ODI cricket against Bangladesh in 2006, 5 runs were needed from one ball. He hit six and Zimbabwe won the match.
In 2011, he scored a century in two consecutive ODIs against New Zealand. He is the first Zimbabwean cricketer to score a century in two consecutive ODIs.
He was 128 not out in the first match and 107 not out in the second. He scored 310 runs in the three-match ODI series.
Brendan Taylor scored 145* against the South African cricket team he carried his bat throughout the ODI innings and became only the ninth person to do so.
In the 2015 Cricket World Cup, he scored a century in two consecutive matches. He played 121 runs in 91 innings against Ireland. Against India, he played an innings of 138 runs off 110 balls.

Taylor was appointed captain of Zimbabwe on 24 June 2011.He captained the side on their return to Test cricket, against Bangladesh, at the Harare Sports Club on 4 August 2011. In the first innings of the match he scored 71 and during the second innings he scored 105* and he then became the second Zimbabwean to score a century in his first match as captain, Zimbabwe sealed a 130 run victory and Brendan Taylor was named man of the match for his century.
He made his T20 cricket debut in 2006 against Bangladesh.Zimbabwe face Australia in the 2007 Cricket T20 World Cup. Zimbabwe won the match against Australia. Brendon Taylor batted brilliantly in that match. Australia batted first and scored 138 runs. Zimbabwe needed 12 runs in the last over to win. Brendon Taylor and Elton Chigumbura were batting at the time. Brendon Taylor played an innings of 60 off 45 balls and Zimbabwe won the match. Brendon Taylor was the man of the match in that match. He also played in the Bangladesh Premier League.

Brendan Ross Murray Taylor (born 6 February 1986) is a Zimbabwean international cricketer and a former Zimbabwean captain, who plays all formats of the game. Taylor is a right-handed batsman but is also an off spinner. In 2015, former Zimbabwe captain Alistair Campbell described Taylor as
"our standout player for the last seven or eight years".He captained Zimbabwe in ODIs until 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, having taken over the reins from Elton Chigumbura after the 2011 Cricket World Cup. He became the first Zimbabwean batsman to hit back-to-back One-Day International (ODI) centuries (128 not out and 107 not out), achieved against New Zealand in October 2011.
