Good morning everybody, hope you're all well and enjoying the new day. I'm here writing my participation to a contest I saw in a community. I really liked it because it talks about our aims and goals in life.

When we are kids, and we keep growing to teens and youths, we all have our goals and dreams. Most times even when we ask a small child he'd say that "I want to be a lawyer", "I want to be a teacher" and so on...

It is always good to have such goals and aims in life so that we have the direction to work on. So I'll tell you about mine.

What your aim in life is or was?

When I was little I lived in my small village where I will play and do things with my friends, the things that we did were not just meaningless play though we did those ones too. But we were always engaged in some cooking for ourselves. From when I was 10 or younger I could already make meals and since we or parents didn't have much money we had to fetch the things we needed for the food ourselves.

The things we did included fetching firewoods, fishing 🎣, harvesting from our little farms.
We usually fetched the firewoods first and after the firewoods we are already going to the river to catch some fish with our nets and traps. And most times we catch many fishes and sometimes we have to try many of the rivers to be able to catch one.
And after that we enter into the farm to harvest some ingredients for the cooking since we had many in the farm. So when that is done we make a very delicious meal at home.

So with this experience, I fell in love with farming and cooking. Also my father and mother used to take us to the farm to help plant, harvest and remove weeds. So I wanted to be a big farmer and a cook.

Also I wanted to get married to a very rich man.

What steps you have taken or plan to take to achieve it

Now I'm already a mother to many children, I didn't get to achieve my dream of being a big farmer and cook, but I still farm when I have the opportunity and I'm happy to cook delicious meals for my children.

It's true that I took some steps to achieve my goals and my parents helped me too because they enrolled me to the village school to learn many things and how to read and write. But due to lack of resources I couldn't continue to the higher learning level.

Conclusion

I will not say I didn't achieve my dreams and aims, I'll say I did, I can still farm and everyday I cook for my family. I still thank God for everything.
