It is inevitable to get me a sports community on Steemit after so long and not get excited, many years ago I was involved in almost every community with this niche as it was the one I naturally liked the most.
I understand that in Steemit the history of sport is not so well regarded, but I hope that all that is in the past and I can return to that golden age now with new strategies and perhaps better management.
On this occasion to debut in this community I will give a small opinion on 1 team that is on everyone's lips in the English Premier League, although not for the reasons that we are accustomed to, Come on!

Let's talk about the team that in the last 7 championships has won the trophy 6 times, being currently the champion for the 4th consecutive time.
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, who used to be a feared and respected team in England that you have to suffer to get points when they face them, is currently in 7TH POSITION outside the European competition.
Despite starting as we were used to years ago with a fearsome offense and consistency in their game plan, when November started a remarkable negative streak, since the beginning of that month they had 9 games in Premier League (Let's not forget that their bad streak also took them to other tournaments) in which of the 27 points in dispute they could only get 5 of them harvesting only 1 win and 2 draws.
All this obviously had to have repercussions in the team's universe where the media have been in charge of worsening the situation and the coach's desperation is noticeable in interviews and press conferences.

I have heard incredible comments from desperate fans who mention that the main reason is the players' displeasure with the coach and that they are having bad games with the intention of getting him fired, which of course is hard to believe after these glorious years with his leadership.
Rather I think it may be due to the lack of a very important character in his scheme but that until now had not been felt so much, I am talking about the captain and Golden Ball “Rodri” who suffered one of the worst injuries that a soccer player can suffer and that will keep him away from the field for the entire season.
Although his bad streak does not coincide with the date of the injury of the Spaniard, I believe that it can have an influence on it, in addition to two other important injuries that this time do coincide with the date of the bad streak.
We are talking about the pair of defenders Jhon Stones and Ruben Dias who were being regular and decisive at the beginning of the season and who have not stopped getting injured since then, playing very few games and even at the time of writing this post both remain injured.
We should not deny that the citizen squad has enough to replace these players we mentioned, but I must say that a recurring approach may not have an effect when we remove immovable pieces in it.

To cut a long story short as I was already getting inspired on the subject, I think City's situation is more down to the current mentality and a bit of bad luck as well.
We can't let injuries to players vital to the team's style of play go under the table, but when you look at recent results and the attitudes of some players on the pitch you can tell something is going on in their minds.
The team does not press, they do not advance lines when they should, they do not attack the space or try to guess offensive intentions, add to this that your main striker _Erling Haaland _ cannot score even with penalties and is influenced by mind games proposed by the goalkeepers. (See the save of the penalty that Pickford made in the style of Dibu Martinez this last game.)
Every drop of water fills the glass and the time will come when it will overflow if they don't put their thoughts aside and concentrate on getting back to being the feared team in Europe that they have been.
I firmly believe that this coming year could be good for them, maybe with some market movement in January that could solve this mentality problem, even if it means giving competition to players who have been performing a bit poorly in recent times.
Manchester City will be back and we will all be here to see it.
Big greetings to all those sports lovers on Steemit, I hope my posting was to your liking and I look forward to seeing more active people here.
Do you think City will get out of the slump?
Will there be any interesting changes to the squad during the transfer window?
Tell me about it, I would like to read your opinions.
One thing about football is that it not every time a particular team will win, like what is happening to Manchester city is that they have to rest because it not very season for them.
It my team so I need to say the truth, Manchester city needs to remove some players who are not ready to give the team and the club the best because their presents performance from each of the players is very poor.
And also to enable Manchester city win match they needs to buy a double central back position 4 because kovasic and Gundogan are playing 8 not position 4 that why it is affecting them, imagine playing in a position you haven't played before there must be an error, so with a new signing everything about Manchester city will be ok.

Well, just today we broke that bad streak against Leicester City, and we saw an excellent Savinho, in attack he put the team on his shoulder and showed why he was called to be part of this team.
Sincerely and changing the subject of City, it's too bad that this player has left Girona, he is really needed at the moment.
Now it remains to be seen if City stays like this, this time I saw Kovacic a little more comfortable, even a little more than Gundogan, what I do not quite understand is how Phil Foden after the previous incredible season he did can make these bad games now, let's wait to see what market moves City makes now, I'm anxious to see it.
Thanks for your comment, cheers!

I very much hope that we can bring the sporting life back to Steemit again!
It's very hard to pinpoint one thing that's not working at Man City. Haaland's confidence looks completely gone which after the first 5 games of the season, feels incomprehensible. Of course, Rodri's a big miss... but they started the season really well whilst he was being rested after the World Cup.
Injuries probably plays a big part with almost every player having a spell on the sidelines. Guardiola often talks about his players and the team having rhythm and that's definitely missing at the moment. They look tired and opponents aren't scared to get at them any more. They need more energy and the sale of Alvarez now looks like a poor decision - he's got the kind of energy that they're currently lacking.
It could be worse though. They could be Man Utd.

Precisely that attitude of the rivals to know that they are in a bad moment and that they can beat him, that it is not like previous years that no matter how they did it, they could not win is the biggest difference.
I think Julian Alvarez must be very happy with his change of scenery, right now he is in the leader of Spain being important while his former team that refused to give him more prominence is in that bad streak, I'm not saying that he is happy for the bad moment of the city, but at least he must be happy where he is.
Talking about the other scenario, United looks like a hopeless case, they brought in the Coach with the best possible current situation and they continue with their poor stability on the pitch, maybe they also need to do what many are saying..... Bring in a striker like Gyokeres and bring back Amorin's prodigal son and see if a revamp up front has an effect on all the other lines.
