STEEM "COMMUNITY" IS MOVING TO HIVE BLOCKCHAIN - WILL YOU HIVE OR STEEM?steemCreated with Sketch.

It's finally happening.

I guess by now you all already know Steem Blockchain is getting forked and majority of the users are moving onto the new chain, Hive Blockchain.

It's been a long time coming.

I feel like there couldn't have been a better way out. We tried our best to save STEEM but in the end, the invloved parties were unwilling to work with neither the community nor the witnesses. What to do?

Move!

Which is exactly what is happening on 10am EST, Friday, March 20th 2020, when the HIVE Blockchain launches.

If you loved being on STEEM, and still want to keep contanct with your friends and followers, then this is the place to be. I don't see STEEM coming out of this mess, especially without the community which is primarily what Steem is.

There will be a 1:1 airdrop for all Steem holders(or rather most, there is a specific group of people not getting the airdrop)

For example: if your Steem account has 10 STEEM, 5 SBD, and 1000 SP, your new Hive account will have 10 HIVE, 5 HBD, and 1000 HP.

Also, it's worth noting, the front end we will be using to login into Hive is https://hive.blog. You will only need to login with your Steem keys (since it is a Steem fork), and you are good to go.

Finally,

If you post on Hive, it will not show up on Steem, and vice versa. The two chains will be completely independent of one another after launch.

For shaw ;)

I have two steem accounts, I have a hard time keeping up with them, in fact I don't really keep up with one, it is mostly a low SP voting account. I will on occasion still drop by steem to watch the fire works or to see if any fire works have started or not, but as for posting and commenting, I think the extreme vast majority of that will occur on Hive. Heck I only post 2 or 3 times a week anyway, and even keeping that rate up is difficult for me at times.
