This day could not be more important. The birth of a new family member is always very important.
My niece was born, I really wanted to see her. She was giving so many scares during her stay in the womb, that the time to be born became very long.
Every newborn is beautiful. Some babies may be prettier than others, but just seeing that little figure so helpless makes it too beautiful. For each mother, to see another baby means to move our memories to more distant times and think when our baby was born. Then all that love turns into this new birth. It makes us feel mothers again.
The fact is that I don't see the newcomer baby the same way. Our love is more grown, we have more experience in handling the baby. And our love gets stronger. It is a feeling that cannot be explained, we can only feel that we have much more love to give and in better conditions than we had when our first baby.
My niece, newborn, is small. She lacked another week in the womb but the doctors saw the need to have a C-section to preserve their lives. Of the baby and his mother. It measures 47 cm. It weighed 2,800 gr. She will have time to recover size and weight.
Welcome dear baby. Love is not divided, it just multiplied. My niece's daughter, now she is my niece too. I love them both.

Congratulations. To me this is a big baby. I never had one with a weight like that. My son was the biggest with 2500 grams born at home and stayed home.
The girls were way smaller. All except one about 2200 grams, one 1550 grams.
I hope mom and baby do well and the C section will heal well. I am glad I never had that.

Parents are never born big they gain weight in their life. I am 1.75 which is not little either. My weight is 60.2 now. My son is a few I'm taller as I and his weight is 50 kilograms with clothes on. A few years ago he was suddenly fat but didn't grow for at least three years. All my children are a bit smaller as I am only my son not. Both my parents are little.
I am still tall.
Small babies will grow and girls faster as boys. They are stronger. I doubt one week linger pregnancy would have made much difference. I wonder what kind of baby the mother was. As long as both are fine there's nothing to worry about. I hope she has all the time in the world to enjoy and not suffer from pain. Hugs and 💕 for you and your family.

Mi querida amiga, para la parte médica la genética tiene importancia. Por eso se realizan las historias de los antecedentes de padres y demás. En mi familia, solo hay bebes grandes. Mis hermanos, mis padres, mis primos, mis tios, somos de estructura grande. En todas las generaciones aquí nacidas, después de mis padres, solo hay dos bebes pequeños. Ahora ya son grandes, crecieron tienen pesos y estaturas parecidas a los antecesores. No podemos comparar con otros familiares o amigos. La genética es solo familiar. Mi hermana mayor nació prematura, de 1500 gr. Pero hizo su evolución genética familiar. Y un sobrino también fue prematuro. Pero ya tiene su estructura física familiar.
Así que el peso y talla de inicio, no tiene que ver con que su evolución futura tiene que ser de pequeña estatura. Solo que para este momento lo es.

Eso entiendo, pero prematuro también es un poco lineal. Yo era prematuro (mis hermanos no), mis hijos y mi hija mayor también. Gracias por la explicación. Lo se todo acerca de eso. Me crié en una familia de parteras (a las únicas a las que se les permitía hacer los primeros controles y partos en el hogar y en el hospital y es un estudio largo igual a un médico) y mujeres embarazadas.
