Model Kit Review, Soviet Railway Flatcar Model

in hobbies •  4 years ago

Hello, Steemies!

It's time for another model kit review!

For this post, I am doing a review of a 1/35 scale plastic model kit of a Soviet railway 2 axle flatcar. This kit is being produced by Miniart Models of Kiev, Ukraine. This is the kit for the 16.5-18t 2 axle type flatcar. These flatcars were in common use in the 1930s and 40s, and saw much use in hauling war materials during the second world war. The instructions for the kit don't give a history of this type of car, so I don't know when this type of car was first built, but I would guess that they started building this type of flatcar after the end of WW-1.

This kit includes a lot of detail parts, and also includes some photo etched brass detail parts. The kit also includes a section of Russian gauge track to display the model on. Russian gauge track was a few inches wider than the European gauge track at 5 foot gauge, sometimes known as wide gauge track.

Here is my video for this kit review. The video is about 14 minutes long.

I hope you find this model kit review interesting!

Thanks for checking out my post!
