Today, we pay tribute to all 16 people who were killed in Humboldt Broncos bus crash that took place last Friday. My big sister is wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs scarf (no jersey would fit her), while I'm wearing my Tampa Bay jersey.

Who were the Humboldt Broncos?

They were a junior ice hockey team that played in Saskatchewan Junior Ice Hockey League. The coach bus collided with a trailer truck in Armley, Saskatchewan. They were on their way to Nipawin, Saskatchewan to play game 5 of their playoffs against Nipawin Hawks when the accident occurred.

The Humboldt Broncos' player range in age from 16 to 21 years. They were on a road trip that was scheduled to take just over two hours, heading to a playoff game in Nipawin, when the bus they were in and a transport truck collided Friday evening. (Humboldt Broncos/Twitter)

A group of B.C. hockey moms organized Jersey Day to support families of the Humboldt bus crash victims and to let them know that they are not alone.
