Capybaras are one of the most friendly animals in the world. They are peace loving and social. It is a common sight to see Capybaras in the company of other animals due to their friendly nature.

Being the largest rodents in the world, Capybaras have the amazing combination of rat resemblance with huge body structure like guniuea pigs which make them outstanding and unique.

The truth is, due to the large body frame of Capybaras, some people only see them as their source of protein and means of livelihood, therefore hunting down these lovely animals anywhere they are sighted.

This has drastically decimated the population of the Capybaras in some part of the world and raising red flag of sending them to undue extinction.
According to the IUCN Red list, capybaras are currently considered to be of concern of becoming extinct, since their populations have largely been affected by hunting.

People produce leather from the skin of Capybaras and many people eat their meat. In the countries where capybara's populations have started to dwindle, there are hunting restrictions stakeholders are trying to put in place to stabilize their population.
