Interpretation of sacred scripture: Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness, Psalm 29:2

The book of Psalms teaches us that the worship of the Lord is more than the fulfillment of certain religious rites through apparent piety, true devotion is an activity of the intelligence, an occupation of the mind: "Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness ", Psalm 29: 2.
The worship of God is one of the aspects of the fear of God: God blesses those who worship him in spirit and truth, those who fear him, "Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man", Ecclesiastes 12:13, "God works for the good of those who love him", Romans 8:28.

Worshiping God is worshiping, perceiving with the mind the perfections of God: "Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.", Matthew 5:48. These perfections of God can be supernatural gifts like mercy, perseverance, holiness; or divine attributes like God's eternity. The eternity is the possession of all time: past, present and future. God exists from an eternal present, that is, God is immutable.
The prophetic activity as such, that is, what we see in the life of the prophet Ezekiel, Daniel, Isaiah comes from or has its origin in devotion to God. Worship of God and prophetic activity are exactly the same. The Bible explains to us that a people that do not worship God in spirit and truth is a people that lack true spiritual guidance.
Many think that spiritual guidance is simply teaching meditation, offering a miracle cure, giving good advice or teaching nice phrases to display online; this is the apparent piety that seeks to make a profit, it is the spirituality of those who live according to the flesh. Through worship we enter into communion with God and he strengthens us to live his spiritual gifts, and so we understand the true meaning of the commandment of love: "Love your neighbor as yourself", Mark 12:31.
