Safety with Airsoft

A much larger and more serious problem is eye injury as a result of not wearing protective goggles or a face mask.

As mentioned, airsoft pellets usually don’t break skin, but they can certainly destroy an eye, even from a ricocheted round.

Airsoft should be kept safely at home. An airsoft can be very useful if an intruders breaks out in your house. Home Security is increased when you have an Airsoft at your place.

Taking an airsoft pellet to the eye can and will result in damage to your vision, permanent blindness, or in the case of some children, it can end in death should the pellet travel through the eye and into the brain. As serious as this sounds, prevention is almost too simple.

All you need are the aforementioned goggles or a face mask, easily found for $10 or less.

The main drawback is that a lot of people feel this can obscure your vision due to weird lenses and getting fogged up, but the alternative is blindness or worse, so does it feel worth it to you? And keep in mind, airsoft guns are not know for accuracy as plastic pellets aren’t the perfect ammunition and the guns themselves can’t fire powerfully enough to fire perfectly straight.

This means that even an expert shot can misfire by a few feet, so if they’re just trying to hit you in the leg or the chest, there’s a high chance the pellet could shift up and land right in your face. There’s no need to take that risk, so goggle up.Airsoft guns can be rather enjoyable, but don’t forget that safety is required to fully enjoy them. Don’t shirk the eye gear, no matter what you do. After all, you don’t want to shot your eye out!

And don't forget to increase the security at your place. These days intruders are roaming around at a high rate.
