The guide of the Holy Spirit: Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them. Acts 13:2

The Book of Acts of the Apostles recounts at the beginning the birth of the Church with the Christian Pentecost, and it is from here that the new religion begins to separate itself from Judaism.
But the message of the Kingdom of God, the dominion or empire of God's perfections, as Lord Jesus prophesied was not intended only for the children of Israel according to the flesh, and so the apostle Peter, being in the city of Joppa, received a heavenly vision that showed him that the pagans converted to the new faith shouldn't go through Judaism first.
And then with the conversion of the centurion Cornelius and his family, and the pouring out of the holy spirit on them, the Holy Spirit showed the new direction for the early church, the preaching of the gospel to the pagan world.
And these first steps, along with the founding of the Church of Antioch, where the followers of Jesus first received the name Christians, led to a call of the holy spirit upon Paul and Barnabas to carry out the first missionary journey.
Under the spiritual guidance of the Holy Spirit, in this way the conversion of Abraham's children according to the spirit began, that is, the men who feared God. With these words from the Book of Acts, the story of the beginning of the first missionary journey begins:
"Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius or Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ´Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.´ So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off" Acts 13:1-3.
Paul's missionary journeys, which were three in total, demonstrated in the history of christianity the importance of the spiritual guide as a gift of the Holy Spirit.
