Lord is described in our ancient
scriptures as Yajnya-Purush. Yajnya has been
described as form of Vishnu, “Yajnyovai
Vishnu”. The importance of the fire or the
Yajnya has been stressed in all Vedic literature.
In havan an ardent prayer is made to Almighty
God to lead us on righteous path . Fire is the central element of a Havan. Fire has been
regarded as God in the Hindu religion. Hence,
the offerings made to the sacred fire is said to
purify the surroundings as well as the
individuals. The sacred fire is supposed to be
the link between human consciousness and
the cosmic consciousness. A Havan is
performed with the aim to achieve material as
well as spiritual success. Havan thus are not
mere rituals but they are science to establish
the connection between ourselves and the
world of energy. Just like science, its results
too are precise. Havan dispels the negative
energies from our minds; destroys negative
life patterns, annihilates negative effects and
evils of others.
