RENOVATE AN ATTIC IN BOLOGNA
Today I show you a project curated by the design studio Martino Design , the renovation of a charming attic with exposed beams , of course in my Bologna.
Customers? A couple who over the years has built a family with two children.
The spaces were absolutely redistributed according to the new requirements.
The window between living room and kitchen is the perfect filter to separate the rooms leaving an idea of continuity, essential in a house that is not large and with a pitched roof. The choice of the modular frame in black breaks perfectly with the pastel colors that characterize furniture and wall coverings in the kitchen.
And if the window is an element of continuity between the two environments, the contrasting floors separate the functions with ease: parquet in the living area and modern cement tiles in the kitchen.
To give a touch of color some Nordic style accessories and the now famous E27 suspension by Muuto, the common thread of the furnishing project, you will find them in other colors even in the children's bedroom .
The children's bedrooms are basic but full of practical storage containers, personalized with the Muuto hangers, used as playful knobs. Soft and relaxing colors broken only by the funslate blackboard wall .
How about? Do you also find the perfect new attic for a young and colorful family?
Martino Design is also a small shop of furniture and furnishing accessories in the center of Bologna. Find some pictures here .
I hope to go soon to find Chiara and her colleagues to show you Martino in my stories .
