Not all is lost

Thought that I had missed the chance to redeem my rewards and so was relieved to find them still there just now. I am a bietjie bietjie learner-due namely to my bad memory-and I often have these 'almost heart attacks' when I forget or lose something. Last week when going to the licensing dpmt (two different branches) I left my leather passport holder with all 5 passports (4 mine & 1 my late father's) as well as my three I.D. books (my late father's old one as well, as well as my original birth certificate at one of these offices, I think/hope. I got my new passport and my new smart I.D. only 1 month ago, after two extremely long and taxxing visits to the home affairs office. ( first visit was four and a half hours; five or six weeks later, another four hours)Last week I had gone to the licensing dpmt. to register a new vehicle I acquired recently. Accompanied by a friend, we went first to the Krugersdorp office where we learned that we need to do it at the Roodepoort office which we thought is at the Civic Centre in Discovery, only to find that it's still at the old office in Roodepoort. By the time we got there they were just about to close shop and so we gave it a miss. I realized only later after I had gotten home that all my documents are missing. I have not been able to get back since and am wondering what the chances of finding the valuable documents will be? This is my most favourite pet hate and the thought of going through all of that rigmoral again is making me ill! Please, for once, let me find that they have been found and looked after by a thoughtful and considerate citizen. What do you rate my chances? I do still have my smart I.D. which stays in my wallet so, not all is lost. But the passport is a big train smash (I hate that cliche' as well but there are times when it's the only appropriate one without the f word behind or in front.) please say a steem pray for me!
