When my husband and I first moved in to our new home there was a very dated 1970s mirror wall. We had our plumber remove the baseboard heat then proceeded to transform that wall into a wood feature wall. :)
- remove the mirrors
- paint the wall black (no need to sand the glue off the wood planks will cover everything up!)
- nail up the wood planks ( we bought ours at a local lumberyard but you can use pretty much any kind of wood... ours was also pre stained and I just did a light whitewash over it to tone it down a bit. You can choose yours prestained, stain it yourself, or paint it depending on the look youre going for.)
- next we added crown and base moulding
- we came across a fireplace mantle at the flea market and painted it to match our moulding.
- wall mount the tv, add shelves and accessories!
