These industrial operations happen daily across Los Angeles to keep the streets clear.
Though sanitation is necessary, sadly it causes even more instability for the homeless to have to constantly be packing up their belongings and on the move. Please pray for all involved. . .those with the instability and needing healing of heart and spirit and those tasked with trying to keep things clean.
Every street is cleaned once every two weeks.
In one cleaning they put more than 5 tons in the garbage truck as they needed to dispose of anything deemed to be unsanitary.
In some cases this ends up being people's tents and their few possessions.
Sanitation is one of the reasons the city claims Elvis' tiny houses are banned because they hamper the clean up crews ability to operate and fully clean.
For many people in LA, a lack of affordable housing makes it almost impossible to get off of the streets.
Hear Christine's story where she doesn't wait for a tiny house, but goes out and collects recyclables to earn money she can save in the hopes of getting herself and her dog off of the streets and back into an apartment.

People who take numerous trips, partake in lavish parties. . .yet for all of their virtue signaling telling the common folk without all of the wealth and resources to Fix the problem.
Why are they not giving up their lavish homes or donating them to get people off of the streets?

Christine usually makes $180 to $220 a week. She works to collect recyclables in order to save for an apartment.
Doing this is how she got her tents.
The tiny homes Elvis builds could help people like Christine until they get back on their feet.
When Elvis goes to find a place that the city doesn't do clean up and won't refuse a tiny home, he has trouble finding a spot for Raven as the city controls most of the lots and land.
Raven reveals that she was listed as a juvenile runaway when she was 9 years old.
Her dad was in prison her whole life.
When her mother was 5 months pregnant with Raven, he murdered a young woman.
Raven is trapped deep in the cycle of long term homelessness and cannot seem to find her way out.
When Elvis finds that Raven has gotten news that she is pregnant, he adds a special finishing touch to her tiny house.
He did her ceiling like a sky scape of the Milky Way as these people just need a bright light in their life and hope.
Elvis tells 60 min. Australia that since they have been taking these tiny houses away from people 3 have died from being stuck out in the elements and not having proper shelter.
This is an issue as many shelters are full to capacity and there is no more room.
One of the people who died was his close friend Smoky.
Here she is sitting in the doorway of her tiny house.
She received the very first tiny house.
She was found dead in someone else's tent.
The city took both her tiny house and her tent.
Elvis states, "It's pretty simple, without shelter people die!"
She was a good person, she was a friend and she is missed a lot.
The city claimed they approved a multi billion dollar strategy to help the homeless, but they are saying it will take 10 years to build 10,000 units which is well below demand.
Yet officials refuse to embrace tiny homes.
The city came back for clean up and started dumping more items at Christine and Raven's camp areas.
They dumped Christine's tiny set of shelves she had her books on because they deemed it a bulky item.
Raven wasn't there at the time, but over half of Christine's and Raven's items were taken by the department of sanitation.
Elvis points out the obvious. . .all the money the city spends and allocates they could spend half of that and give these people a place to go, but instead they are treated like animals.
With half of Raven's items being gone, Elvis finally finds a place to put Raven's tiny house.
He found a quiet, industrial area where it wouldn't affect anyone and away from Skid Row would be safe from authorities.
Most things Elvis does, he does out of principle because he was taught, when someone falls down, you pick 'em up!
He says, "that's what we should do in life!"
Raven had told him once, "you know how some people sit on their porch and look up at the stars? Well, I'm lookin' up at a tarp."
Elvis told her now she could sit and not look at a blue tarp, but see the stars, she would have to use her imagination a little bit.
Please pray for Christine and Raven.
Raven says she wishes it could last forever [having a hassle free place to stay with four walls and feeling of stability] but she puts it in God's hands.
The #SonsAndDaughtersOfGod have been given authority and dominion to command all wickedness and evil against humanity to flee.
Please pray for these women and all other homeless people who feel trapped in a cycle.
There IS hope. . .we must be Jesus' hands and feet for He equipped us to do so!
