Homelessness Sucks

There is a girl that was crying as she came in.  No clothes, no shoes, no socks, no anything.  It sucks because, I feel that these things are created.  It's not as if this person really knows anything about the system, or that people can become targets to be made homeless, and chances are she did some things herself, but there is also a great chance that she was treated awfully in previous times to become so torn up.  I just get sick of seeing this kind of thing all the time.  Isn't there an answer for poverty and homeless people?

Only answer is to help them get jobs and get off drugs for those who are on them, but they need to want to do both or be able to do both. There's no other way.

What about when people aren't paid, aren't on drugs, but somehow can't get jobs? They've applied at 40+ jobs with a lot of interviews and still can't seem to get hired due to their credit scores? What then? Is the system rigged against some of these people? And, what if it is? Is there are way to stop it?

Yeah. I edit resumes for people in my spare time. Most of the time they can't get a job because the resume looks like dog shit, not due to the content but the presentation. The credit score isn't an excuse, it's a hindrance. The greatest hindrance is a criminal record but even that can be worked around.

Why should the resumes for labor positions need to look like anything other than a plain text file? Human resource personnel have skewed priorities.

Yes, absolutely. It's completely fucked up that we're at a point where the quality of a man's work means less than how elegant his resume is.
