Right now getting clothes, bags and shoes ready to donate DIRECTLY to the homeless

i had a thiught today. instead of clearancing out items down to a penny as most stores do or down to a dollar that the stores or big corporations could ser in okace a system that if an item did not sell at 25% of ots marketes value then the item would automatically be given to a charity that benefitted the homeless. say items could only be marked down to 75% off in store and if the item still didnnot sell instead of giving it to consumers for next to nothing it would have to be given to a charity. think of times you find items for 80 or 90 percent off of the targeted or advertised price... these items coukd no longer be sold in the free market as they dilute the exchange initially be overpricing, take up much needed space. and then create excessive waste of material. would be a way to get marketers and economist to be more forthcorming about a products actual value upfront essentially keeping false advertising or misleading deals st bay too. and surely new products are preffered over used products especially clothing and household daily living items. i find shoes at walmart for a dollar all the time every season dollar shoes... why am i buying yet ankther pair of shoes and the corporation milking the profit down to the last drop when instead of selling them so cheaply they coukd be donated and tax deductable at 25 percent of the intial asking price. its a win win all around.

Wow great idea. Are you in california by chance?

I hate wasting/throwing away something that CAN be used and that would be used if given to the right person.

oklahoma is where i am located. yes i like to give away my stuff too, feel food clothing water and shelter are basic human rights. everyone shoukd be fed dressed and sheltered in todays society. starvation is an issue. cure cancer?? we havent cures starvation... like thats an issue. its not a disease its a slow oainful death caused by lack of food. it has a simole cure that is abundant... food yet we havent been anle to end its destruction on the weakest in society. children born into poverty in the worst developed places. makes you wonder how systems become so hostile a country would refuse to let another sid them in feeding babies. are we that mad at each other over cultursl difderences we csnt agree that all babies deserve food?

startling revelations on the walmart cheap shoes thing, wow

well I always say no one is starving in America; highest obesity in the world still right...the kind of overindulgence we're doing (overconsumption) is going to make the next generation have a lower life expectation than their parents.

ya, walmart shoes... just go at season chamge and the previous season shoes are super cheap often 1-3 dollars. they do this with other items too. right now my local walmarts have three pack lace panties for 2 dollars (normally 11.97) and bras that match for 3 (mormally 14.97) so i feel like thats pretty good if you need tp stock up on bras and undies.
