The Bearadise Motel
For the last week and a few days I have been staying at the Bearadise Motel in Idaho Springs, CO. Largely due to having so many issues with my van and not being able to rely on it. Most of the time I have been in the motel it was broke down (not drive-able). Well I was just informed by the owner of the hotel that I have to be out by Wednesday, that it isn't an apartment and that I can't stay but two weeks. He already has my room rented out so I have to leave.
My van is drive-able, barely but there is no where else I can afford to stay within hundreds of miles of here and I am afraid to drive too far and risk my van leaving me stranded in where I can't do anything but walk away and leave my stuff behind. To make matters even worse, there are people here who have been here for 2 months or longer and it appears they are all gonna have to get out soon as well.
Car Fund
I have been trying to raise enough funds to get a car so I can go to work for/with Uber. That is still my plan, I just hope my van holds up long enough for me to:
* Find a safe place to park my van and leave it while I am working, so I can live in it for a while; until I can get a place to live or an RV.
* Get a car so I can start Uber'ing and earning some descent money.
Oh Well!
Guess I gonna have to cross a few more speed bumps before I get back onto the smooth road.

I'm so sorry to hear that @venuspcs when you checked in to this motel, I was sure that it was going to be the end of your journey as a homeless, and beginning of a new chapter.
You know that I don't have much money to help you but you always have my full support. The real problem here is that whales and dolphins are not paying enough attention to your story. It seems that most of them or too busy upvoting each other. It would litterely take 2 min for this post to reach on top of the lists which would end up you raising enough funds to start your new life. I don't understand this attitude when all we need to do is clicking on a bloody arrow.
The way this platform is heading is staring to worry me. Biggest enemy of steemit is selfishness and people seem to be too greedy to see that. I hope i can be proved wrong soon. I wish there was more I could do to help you my friend. Upvoted and resposted.

Ubers car Lease program may help you get on the road faster. Car Leasing Program To Attract More Drivers -- There’s one big obstacle for anyone who wants to sign up as an Uber driver and hit the road — if you don’t have a car, you’ve got nowhere to put any passengers. Uber wants to make it easier to attract potential drivers, launching its own auto leasing subsidiary unit that will bring the ride-hailing company into the financial services industry.
There aren’t many details about the costs of the new leasing pilot project, called Xchange Leasing, but Uber says it will offer both new and used cars. Participants in the program can return the vehicle with two weeks notice and “limited additional costs,” the company said.
“Unlike most multi-year leases that have high fees for early termination, drivers who participate in Xchange for at least 30 days will be able to return the car with only two weeks notice, and limited additional costs,” Uber said in a press release about the program. “The program allows for unlimited mileage and the option to lease a used car, with routine maintenance also included. These features combine to create a product unlike anything on the market today.”..

Uber doesn't actually Lease the cars. They are partnered with Hertz and Enterprise (at least in Denver) to get you discounted Cars. I have already tried (for over a week) to get one through either of those companies, but they do not have any cars available. Hence the reason I am trying to raise funds to get my own car.....going to keep trying with Hertz and Enterprise until I either get my own car or they have a rental available for me.
I am also checking with other Rental Car companies to see if any of them will offer me something comparable to Enterprise and Hertz, but no luck yet!

Don't lease from Uber, I hear horror stories of people who sign up, and have to put in a minimum of 40 hours a week just to pay for the car! After that, then they start making a few bucks, and this is out in L.A where there are plenty of people for rides. Be very careful, I know you're up against the wall, but your best bet is t o get your own ride and use that, or find another job, or use that money to get that van back on the road!
