Great story! And inspiring. My oldest is eight, of four children, so we are in the beginning end of things and still figuring out how we want things to play out in our homeschool day. What I DON'T want to do is duplicate the public school model and just do it at home.

Exactly. We incorporated many different curriculums to for the needs of our kids. I used a 1920s speller for them. I used McGuffey readers. I used ACE, Robinson curriculum, Christian light education and also some rod and staff.
