I didn't wake up one day and decide to leave everything to move from the city to country. At first I wanted to move to a smaller city and basically get a basic starter house with a decent size backyard. Don't get me wrong I don't dislike or have any problem leaving in my apartment. It's a two bedroom 840 sq ft home with everything I need. Across the street within walking distance I have the convenience of stores that I shop at almost everyday. I have power, water, entertainment, and I know if something goes wrong I can call maintenance to come by to fix it. But something change. I got a dog from a my brother in arms. This dog had just as problems as me since I currently have PTSD from combat overseas. I had no idea what problems this dog had. I was just told if I didn't take him he was going to be put down. I knew I wanted a German Shepard and me and this new dog bonded since day one.
He was everything I needed at the time. A well trained friend and great company. He had my back and still had enough basic training for playing basic tricks. This is my first dog so I had no idea what to do besides walking to go potty. The day I decided to walk was the day I found out why they were going to put him. I found out after seeing him react towards other people and dogs that he was consider human and dog aggressive. Some time in his life he was abuse by a female. But I didn't want to give up on him. I've been alone for so many years I knew what it felt to be given up on and decided "Hey dogs don't live as long as human. He may have another 10 years." I wanted those 10 years for him to be amazing. So I than decided to get land so my dog can have the biggest backyard he's ever seen. I felt with our own land he can roam around as far as he wanted without being a danger to anyone. And than I started researching like crazy figuring out how to buy land since it's not a common thing to do. Most people look for house on zillow. As I was researching I came across videos about "Homesteading". It blew my mind to see these people living in tiny homes, yurts, or even building their own homes. Not to mention they were raising their own meat and growing their own food. I was like wow so much of my life I wanted a home thinking backyards was great. But than I saw some homes in the country with acreage for half the price of the city houses. Some of the houses were bigger in country than the city. I'll keep writing and it'll end up be a book. Basically I met a female and now we're starting a family. I haven't left this apartment but we're planing on it. Land no home or water or anything else. Just raw land with the hopes and dreams to start a home and lifestyle for generations to come. Hardest part is figuring out what to live in while we get the land together. Was thinking about an RV of some sort basically a 5th wheeler, or a 30' yurt, or a pole barn home. We kinda decided to live in a yurt that can later be a guess home.

Pitter patter. A large breed dog’s resting heart beats between 60 and 100 times per minute, and a small dog breed’s heart beats between 100-140. Comparatively, a resting human heart beats 60-100 times per minute.
