I bought some seeds last year and grew in pots in the front of the house, catching morning light. The growth was underwhelming, but I did get some flowers to make tea. This past spring I moved the plant into the ground, in back of the house where it catches the intense afternoon sun. It has taken off like a rocket. I have to keep extending the stakes. This plant likes intense heat and I water it generously. Unlike other peas, the plant will apparently come back year after year.
