Then the heavens opened
And down it came
Hour after hour
More of the same
Yesterdays drought
Turned into a flood
Now everywhere I look
Is nothing but mud
Where once there was grass
Is now a creek
The quiet meandering stream
Now a river at peak
The dust that was there
Is now in the past
The riverlets of water
Are now raging fast
