Transplanting Second Egg Tray Of Broccoli - March 30th 2018

I am moving these out sooner than the main tray because I feel the egg tray pods a little small and the roots grow thru them.

I did my best again to be as gentle as possible with these guys during the transplant process. Had to peel away the cardboard and then slip the plant into the hole nice and softly. I snapped one of the seedlings by accident.

Which made me realize something, because I felt the plant was rather stiff and snapped like a dry stick. Perhaps I am feeding my indoor plants too much.. yup. So I am going to tone down the feed inside, and just stick to plain water.

There may be a drop in temperatures over night tonight into tomorrow as the weather system, a massive cold front, moves Eastward and out to sea. Hoping all the plants are hardy enough to survive the cold.

No life from any of the seeds I planted straight into the dirt yet.. wondering when I will see some life from them.. if I do at all..

broccoli has always been a difficult thing for me to grow in Florida. I've only ever been successful with a specific strain called 'pacman'.

Just had my first sprouts for Spring come up...cucumbers!

HEYYYOOOO say hello to the world young sprout! Haha nice work! Reap the freedom!

Some seeds take a bit to sprout. I love your raised bed gardens, it's very close to how we do ours as well.

Hmmm, yeah and it could still be too chilly, the ground temp that is...

Thank you! It took a lot of labor to build this farm from nothing by myself this past fall thru winter till now.

And things are starting to come together!
