Remodeling project has finally started with a few hiccups.

After getting started just a little bit of over 2 months ago, the work has started on a remodel of the kitchen and bathroom. It has been a long two months of preparation, picking out products, and staying on budget.

All of our kitchen cabinets and bathroom products all showed up about mid-june and has been taking up a lot of space since then.

The hiccups are finding things done to the house incorrectly, causing us delays and money.

First we ran into a problem with the new shower install because the floor was not level, they had to do some modifications to the frame work and cut away some on the dry wall.

So...... after that debacle, we have been advised not to use the shower until our glass frameless doors are installed.👀🙄😒
The drywall has to go up before it can be installed and that won't take place until late next week. Can't take a shower.......UGH!!!!!!

The kitchen was not without it's issues, come to find out that the light you see in the first picture above in front of the window was not wired correctly before that one was placed up there, and there was a big hole discovered that had to also be fixed.😠

Oh yeah.....there was a hole under the old medicine cabinet we had removed just under the light vanity that was also removed. I will have to have that repaired also.

Plumber left some work undone in the kitchen that he was supposed to had been done so my cabinet installer could start, but now he can't actually start until Monday versus him starting this past Friday as it was planned.
Another plumber was called to to my house after complaint was made aware, the original guy was talking to me about heading out for a two week vacation, so I guess he was thinking on that. He did do a great job, so I can't be mad at him for that.......all worked out with another coming out to finish his job.

My nerves are a little shot, but in all, everything is coming together nicely..... it's just gonna take some patience on my part.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with bad luck. When we remodeled our kitchen about 5 years ago, we bought a nice Whirlpool side by side refrigerator similar to the one you have. Last week that nice refrigerator went kaput and was going to cost a effffin grand to fix! The warranty JUST had run out too lol. I should be posting a video soon of me slinging some lead at the damn thing and/or blowing it up because that's all it's good for now.

I have a full size refrigerator and freezer in my man cave so we can use that one until the new one gets here. We also have a chest style freezer we could use BUT, someone (my wife) accidentally unplugged it and didn't realize it until we started putting food in it from the broken unit. That was about 75 pounds of food thrown away.

Then someone (my wife) tried to flush some paper towels down the toilet...🤬. Needless to say that it didn't work out too well and the Bandito had to snake that shi🤬 out!

Then the kitchen sink became clogged and I have been trying to fix it myself now for about a week with no success. A plumber will be coming this week to fix it for 200 fu🤬in dollars.

All this happened within the past 2 weeks lol! Insert crazy laugh here_____. And insert more bad fckin language here ________________ and here _____________and some more here ________.

LOL!!!! I will definitely be praying for you bro!😂😂😂😂

Dang! I never thought about how much a remodel might reveal from the past owners! Well hope the worst of it is behind you and that the fun part can begin now. You're gonna probably absolutely love it once it's done, and you'll get to live with it and enjoy it for a long time to come.

I've just read your tags! It's very trying, isn't it? It's one of the reasons the bathroom and kitchen are the same as when I moved in, apart from a little decorating.

It really is.....had to be done though.

Look forward to seeing some pictures when it's finished 😎

I'm hoping it will be all done by the first week of August.
