How to Manage Farm Volunteers

in homesteading •  7 years ago

Thanks for sharing your persective! We aren't on our homestead yet but we have big dreams for our property and often consider hosting educational workshops where we can also enlist help. We are passionate about spreading information about permaculture so we can create more sustainable agriculture and workshops and volunteers are ways that we can do this. Hearing from someone who had already had these experiences is helpful.

Thanks! I think it is important to havea few years on the homestead under your belt before you begin teaching and hosting. I was thinking about this post and I thought to myself, "Never have a volunteer do a job that you havent done at least a dozen times on your own and worked out the kinks and the most efficient way to do it." Hope this helps. cheers for now. shad

Now that is some valuable insight! Makes a while lot of sense too. :)
