Little Avia Appleseed

I sure hope you are getting some sunshine now. We have finally gotten some sun and now we have water everywhere. There is always something. The grapes will be in the atrium of the house. It is like a greenhouse in front of the house. We have grapes for this zone. I could send you some seeds.

I think that the dates will need to be babied for a couple of years. They are a special type of date they really are not sweet. However planting some of the other dates for the sugar substitute would be great. I will let you know how the growing of the seeds go. I am in the beginning stages and they just can't be planted like regular seeds.

This year is busy but as you know all years are. Always more to do than we have time for.

I suspect we are heading to flooding next week. Its going to melt extremely fast. I will be landlocked for about 2 weeks or more. :)
I love that you are growing these things. :) I have been trying to grow things that will grow naturally in this zone. I talk with alot of vegans that are eating avacados, coconuts, exotic fruits....but the issue with that is availability and expense, in the next few years. How awesome that you are able to grow these foods!!
I love earth-ship principles. :)
I would love seeds. I can also send seed of things I have here. I think they are always great to have!

Its funny...i made my list of summer to do, and then I made the practical list of summer to do. LOL

We are in the melt for this moment. Rob says that we are due for another snowfall here in the next day or two. The low temperatures slow the melt down a bit at least.

Wow to be landlocked for 2 weeks or more. You really need to have your supplies and be ready for that. That takes some great planning. Hats off to you. However there might be some advantage to that. You can get things done without interruption.

The earthship is nice to be able to grow exotic things in it. I do feel that we need to eat according to our environment around us. The exotic things are a nice treat but you are right they are very expensive.

I will send some seeds over to you. Hopefully you can get them to germinate. They do take awhile. I am still waiting for mine to germinate. Patience is the name of the game.

So you made a I would love to do list and then you made a pratical list. I do this all the time. I await the day when the two lists can be one. Come on Steemit.

i have been saving tires, I am thinking that a small earthship principle greenhouse is in my future! It would certainly be nice to have.
I am excited to see what grow for you!! I am still amazed and thrilled you have PINEAPPLE!!! I know that the Potters, in the bancroft earthship, have figs. they love growing them. One day!!! as you say, COME ON STEEM!! LOL

I do find the earthship is a great building. I wouldn't trade it that is for sure. Pounding the tires was loads of work. I am glad we did it when we were younger. It would take us longer these days. However if there is no deadline then you could work away at it bit by bit.

I am hoping that my pineapple are in their second year. If I am right we will get two beautiful pineapples this fall. I will document them. The flowers are beautiful.

Where is bancroft? They grow figs that is a great idea.

It will be bit by bit... might be my retirement home...lol

Bancroft build, by the Potter's. First in Ontario, many years ago. They broke the barriers. Pioneers. They worked through alot of issues, there is a little community happening there now.

Looking forward to the pineapple documentary!

That is great that it might be your retirement home. I hope you get it done.

Those pioneers are great. They pave the way for the rest of us. Glad they did that for you. Now you have someone to learn from. It is always good to know how to build an earthship for the area. We learned so much building in the north. The earthships that are more south I think have different issues.

I am looking forward to doing the pineapple documentary. Thanks so much.
