Farm Life - What a Day on Our Small Farm & Homestead is Like
In this week's Episode I take you with me as I do the daily farm life here on our little homestead. I show you what a typical day on a small farm is like & what farm chores I do besides feeding & watering the farm....from fixing chicken waterers, to cleaning rabbit stalls, to being an electrician, to trimming goat hooves, to repairing and checking pig fencing...just all in a day's work. Not to mention the daily chore of feeding & waterer the entire family farm...all the livestock & poultry we have here, chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, goats, pigs, rabbits, honey bees, farm dogs & farm cats, oh yeah, there is moving the cornishes daily....So come along with me as I do what needs to be done here on our homestead!
Each day is something different here on the homestead, & it is never ending really. You really never get caught up on the farm, bc not only is something new is changing or happening, but you as a farmer, are constantly trying new things & coming up with new ideas & experiments to try.
Each day is truly unique, & you really never know what the homestead will throw at you. We may have new chicks hatching, or baby piglets may be born, or peaches just wants a belly rub. Or we may have a fox lurking around or a hawk eyeing the property...you just never know, but all you can do is take it in stride, and go with the flow, & enjoy what this smile life brings you.
And I hope making this YouTube video about our daily farm life may help someone decide if having a farm or living on a farm or homestead is right for them. if you have any questions about our small family farm & what it is like leaving on your own homestead, please contact us or aski in the comment section. I would love to hear from you!
