I never would have thought that a horse would mean so much to us!
When we moved out to our little farm / homestead in 2011 I had visions of gardens and orchards. Animals were not on the top of my list. My wife and daughter had different ideas. Of course we started out with chickens, rabbits, ducks, dogs, cats and all the normal stuff, but then... then came Maggie.
Maggie is our first horse (there is another coming soon). She is so sweet and is teaching all of us so much. I never knew horses had so much personality.
Here you can see my daughter with Maggie as she takes her out to train and ride her.
Maggie loves me too!
Right now I'm very excited to see how my special needs son is getting so much out of the interactions with Maggie. In this picture you can see how my daughter is holding Maggie while my son and a friend play games. This is great therapy!

Very nice. My parents used to have a special needs arena that was made on their property just for therapy. Although they are not together anymore, they did touch many lives with the Paso Fino horses they had for many many years.
