Slugs and snails, commonly found in orchards and gardens, are correctly considered to be pests, they often make the lives of your plants much harder. As a fact, slugs and snails are very easy to frighten off even without the use of various chemicals. There are some simple ways how to get rid of snails and slugs in the garden.

To scare off snails and slugs from the garden, do not throw away the eggshell! Take a container or box (any what is at hand)then take some washed and dried eggshells ( you have to do it yourself), and collect them in it during a year. Collect as much eggshell as possible, snails and slugs cannot stand to crawl over it.

Grind the eggshells in the spring, sprinkle the shells around each plant. Sprinkle more eggshells so snails and slugs will not crawl to the plants. In any case, it won't hurt plants.

Check the plants during the growth period, if necessary, sprinkle eggshells around each plant. As vegetables and fruits grow, sprinkle eggshells over and over larger areas so snails and slugs will not crawl to the fruit.

Slugs are really a concern for most of the gardeners. You have shared a very simple way to prevent them from entering into our gardens. I thought you should have also mentioned the part that these eggshells also increase the calcium content of the soil.

Thanks for the share

I've had some huge issues with slugs this year on a few of my beds. I've heard of using various trapping methods. Have you tried this method, and how well has it worked for you?

Thanks for the tip!
