How I Built My Solar Dehydrator

I built a solar dehydrator that uses the sun to dehydrate food from our garden and will even make all kinds of jerky on sunny days. It has a small computer fan powered by a small 12vdc solar panel that is used to circulate the air to effect dehydration. I used a fine no-see-um netting to block bugs etc... from entering the vent holes.

Awesome job! Just what we need to build for our homestead. It would be excellent for dehydrating all our excess fruit.

Great work you'll have to show us the finished products! Not quite at that stage yet!

next summer i will use it a lot and make several updated picture blogs of it in use and finished foods. hope to make a solar oven then too.
