Super stoked that my sunflowers are kicking so much ass this year. I enter my sunflowers and produce in general into the Spokane County Fair. Last year I received a check for $113 for all my entries. The sunflowers are worth up to 100 points each and last year each point was worth about $0.03 each. If you are not entering your local county fair, you just might be missing out on a "free" paycheck!

They are a tall strain to begin with but I am surprised they are still not flowered yet! They are American Giant or Mongolian Giant Sunflowers.

Thankfully this year, yes they are! Other years my "planned" plantings have done garbage, yet my volunteer sunflowers have done SUPER! Just odd to me. This year my planned plantings are dong quite well.
