Where I grew up these big birds are domestic also people trade them a live , traditional in the month of December people from the big citys come out to buy turkeys for their december 24 th nigth diner !.

Thanks for commenting @ friday1996. Yes, this same practice happens in my area too. The domestic turkeys are often much bigger than the wild turkeys. I have eaten both and I can tell you that the wild turkey has next to no fat on them. Taste is the same but the wild turkey takes some extra roasting skills because they quickly dry out, being so low in fat.
