Wow they look terrific. I'm looking to get some land in about a year and am dying to have my own apple trees. Sadly where I grew up in Rockland County NY in the suburbs in the 1970's my development was built on a former apple orchard that was sold off to build houses. You can see what trees remained in all the different neighbors yards and how they all lined up. So sad. We need more apple trees, and more people should plant them instead or relying on a store!

How long does it take from planting to actually get the apples? 2 or 3 years?

I bought these as 6' tree seedlings and they had flowers the 1st year and apples the next year... this is a dwarf Empire Apple Tree that cost around $24.... my other apple tree is a dwarf Golden Delicious .... a little more tart
