My helper friend was here on Friday morning and we spent it taking down lights, putting away most of the Christmas stuff and repairing and repacking the outside lights.
The top 2 strands of 200 bulbs each I am trying to make last as long as I can. I spent a lot of time getting them working in preparation for next November. Then I moved onto sorting out the mix up of old lights to be replaced with new. I won in the end and all 21 strings, plus about 4 for extras were in the box. I also had 2 – 3 for the inside tree.
My helper friend pointed out to me that many of the flowerbuds on the rosemary had opened. There had been 3 when I took a photo of a flower on Saturday.
When my husband went up for evening chores, the cats weren’t in their hay box, nor were they there to greet him. So he went looking for them. He found Lily first because she’s dark in color. It took him a few minutes to realize Dennis the Girl was there also, as she blended in so well.
If looks could kill….
At first I thought they were on the old grain bags by the dead freezer. But he said no, they were nestled into the leaf bags for the hens. If one is a cat, one always knows the best sleeping places…
