South garden - dug up crop November 2019.jpg

Friday morning was very warm, 41F at 5AM when I went up to do my window. My helper friend was here and we headed out to dig up the plants and bulbs in the area they would be running the pipe through.

I had the map where I’d planted things and we only found 2: bluebells and an iris reticulate ‘Pixie’. All the chiondoxas had died, along with a couple hollyhocks. I left the one on the right, in hopes it survives the digging.

We took dirt for the pots from the area my helper friend had dug the raspberries out from, in the Small garden. I figured that was a good place to replant the pots with bulbs, as it was already dug up and not mulched.

I didn’t have any more scraps of hardware cloth, so the pots went in without it. But I did have the 1 remaining mulch bale to mulch them with.

The rain started shortly after we finished.

I was just browsing through your photos and posts, your extension/reno is really coming along. All that extra space you will have - so awesome.

Oh! I am glad you found time! I've missed you!

It does look big. But I am the one who fits everything together, and it really is a close fit. Mostly because this time we are making sure there is wheelchair access everywhere. So there's a foot extra here and there.

Most of the room is in the kitchen, more counter space. There's been 2 of us trying to work in my small kitchen and now we won't have the intricate dance around each other.

I am really excited for you. It is so nice when the space you work/live in flows nicely. I missed you too.
