His fishing trip on Friday netted the pollock above and a single redfish.
I’d hoped to have a new photo of this bad boy for this announcement, but kept forgetting my camera. When we were moving windows on Sunday he started crowing. It’s not loud or obnoxious, so as long as he doesn’t get obnoxious with the crowing or about the hens, he will be left in the flock. He is very nearly 8 full months old and just starting to act rooster-ish. My husband dubbed him Kentucky Fried Wooster. Or Wooster a la King. I just called him Dinner when he crowed.
One of our neighbors used to have a wonderful husky named Max she’d walk. He was an actual sled dog in winter and loved the snow. But he died about a year ago, old age. We’ve all missed him a lot.
We recently saw her walking a new dog, this cutest little puppy named Ruby, a yellow Lab.
She’s about 2 months old and has “sit” down pat. Look at those paws! She’s going to be a big dog one day. Right now she thinks she’s a lap dog….
My husband has fallen in love with her. He just keeps saying how cute she is! And speaking of her brown eyes and nose and the constantly wagging tail. She’s going to be the new favorite on the road, I can tell.
Monday we have to grind the fish and package it for the chickens. We are to have an ice storm or rain, depending. I’m to go to the gym, get laundry done, and finish the budget, very boring.
Nice haul from the fishing trip... and what a cute pup!
