Row 4, clary sage with dewdrops

I didn’t get out to the garden until 9AM due to having to stain a large window frame. The clary sage still was covered in dewdrops and was so glistening pretty. Photo doesn’t do it justice.

New Herb - birdbath crop September 2019.jpg

I cleaned the algae out of the bird bath. I had pulled out the weeds and pruned things back so one could see it again. Plus I had a gardener from BuyNothing coming this afternoon, so I was trying to spruce things up.

I finally hacked about ½ of this tansy off and tied up what was left. That was a big job and I was finished off when it was done. But it had been blocking completely 3 walkways and laying on top of the lavender most of the summer.

I was able to get the north side of Row 3 cleaned out and mulched with hay. I probably won’t get back to it until maybe Sunday.

Cleaning up... pruning... re-arranging... the season is coming to its sad end.
Not too fond of this time of year in the garden.
