Our Greenhouse - Moving In

I recently moved my seedlings from my living room and hardened them off a few days on my porch, bringing them in at night. Friday I moved everything to the greenhouse. The days are warm and the nights aren't freezing anymore. Even if it does get a little cold, they're in a greenhouse for Crup's sake. I didn't have them out there before because the greenhouse has no electricity running to it and so has no heat...plus it isn't exactly air tight so it doesn't hold a huge amount of heat.

My tomatoes, cucumbers, and eggplants hanging out on the front porch.

The cabbages I put out a few weeks ago are doing wonderfully!

These got moved outside as well. Peppers, thyme, ice plant (thanks again, @powellx5 ), and various flowers.

The eggplants and cucumbers have adjusted really well.

What's sad is I mixed up the tags for these tomato plants. Two are Rutgers and two are verisesomething. One kind is big, the other small. This will be fun to figure out which is which.

I also got my lettuce replanted (cold killed my first sowing), carrots planted and chives.

The back barrel has Little Gem lettuce, the middle barrel has chives, and the closest barrel has carrots, little short carrots that can be grown in containers and super rocky soils.

On Sunday I noticed the lettuces are already coming up!!

So that's it! The greenhouse is doing pretty damn wonderful! I'm really looking forward to caring for it this year and reaping the rewards. Gardening is such wonderful and cheap therapy, don't you think?

Very nice. Will be packed out with producing produce before to long. .

I'm hoping for an abundant harvest!

I lost lettuce too. The green house looks great!

Thanks, @tinswel! Have you replanted?

Nope not yet, I plan to as soon as I can. Lost some squash too, lol It's my first year seriously attempting to garden and the weather decided to be crazy. It feels like spring is really here now!!!

It does here too. I hope it isn't just teasing us again. My little plants can't take much more! I hope you successfully replant everything you lost.

Thanks, you too!

looking great!! wow your tomatoes are so big!! way to go :)

Thanks, @mountainjewel! I finally got a head start on them this year!

We used a small greenhouse for seven years. My husband set it up on our deck, which had its pros and cons. We had to disassemble it when the deck needed major repairs, and now the greenhouse needs to be set up elsewhere. We've gone 2 years w/o it, and we miss it! I'm sure you will love yours.

Thanks, @scribblingramma! I hope you can get yours up and running again!

Oh, your plants must be so happy to move into the greenhouse from the front porch. That must have been a very sudden transition, going from your living room straight outside. But they persevered, so now they can enjoy their time in the greenhouse. You know you can plant them together too. From what I've heard, carrots love tomatoes.

I put them on the porch because I didn't want them in direct sunlight just yet. I was afraid they would burn. I brought them back in at night. They are much happier in the greenhouse though. :)

Amazing @hethur240! Everything looks so great!!

Thanks so much, @karenfoster! So far so good!

wow I'm glad to see that they have an organic food production, I'm from venezuela in many places we are developing those initiatives of organic foods for family consumption
