This was my first year doing sunflowers. Hoping to use them to supplement my chickens over the winter. They did pretty well. More than half of them survived.
Next year I may try to start them earlier. And perhaps put cages around them while they're small. The chickens tended to stomp them over when I first planted them as they were digging in the fresh loose dirt.
