Setting T-Post in Solid Rock

How do you install T-Post in Solid Rock

We were looking all over the web trying to find a way to build our fence on this rocky land we bought.
We searched all over and thought maybe a hammer drill would help us break the rock up when drilling corner post holes with the tractor.
While reading reviews on hammer drill/chipping hammer a guy said he had used a hammer drill to bore holes in solid rock for T-Posts over 2000 times. Wow I got excited I can then do that as well. He said the hammer drill that was the one to use was the Bosch RH540M SDS Max Hammer Drill.
Here is my review of that hammer drill.

Interesting. While I pretty much just have clay on my property this is something I will have to make a mental note of in case the need ever arises. I'm glad that it seems to be working for you.

We're really glad that it worked for us. I helped run rebars down to make sure we're not hitting rock and it took us a long time just to put 2 t posts in. This place is rocky, it's good to put a house on top of it but very difficult to do any project that needs digging.

Clay? So you're water retention's like ours then :D Our place holds water well it takes a long time for it to dry out.

Yeah it should be good for holding water. I plan to add a few ponds. It will be a long term project.

Thanks for the video, we have such a mixture of clay, rock and sand, this tool looks like it should definitely be part of our tool kit.

It really drilled through pretty quick, we have mostly shell so it shoild be quite easy with that drill!

Oh you would not believe how hard it is to deal with rocky soil. I am glad my soil is rock because I have lots of stones to work with.
On the other hand it is very hard to get the soil ready to grow food.
Might take an entire day to plant one fruit tree.

And then fencing. I have spent about 10 k to just fence 2 acres with 8 foot tall fence. 4 k for rock augers and drill for my tractor, 700 for the hammer drill and bits, 1 k for a third function on the front of my tractor, 2 hundred for quick attach plates to build a boom for unrolling a 425 pound roll of Max-lockfence. 5 k for pipe to install the corners and gates. And something very interesting, a product called secure set. Three boxes with 12 gallons of a dual mixture compound that sets up in minutes. It is stronger than concrete and is much easier to handle. It would have taken three pallets of sack concrete to build this fence.
My neighbour is a welder and we are slowly getting everything ready to start that project soon. I had to also buy a 10k watt generator to run his MIG welder out in the field. We are ready to start soon I have all purchased and he has many pipes ready with caps wielded on the ends. We will do a post about it by the end of the summer.

Oh cool, I'll try to remember to look for it st the end of summer. I would like to see how that goes.

Fortunately, we have areas not so rocky in the midst of it all!

Thanks for details!
