This is a video from Day 80 of going off-grid. I went 'off grid' six hundred and two days ago and it has been quite the journey since I got dropped off at this old fallow farm and built (continue to build) all my own infrastructure. I have been video documenting the entire process and have just recently begun publicly sharing some of the videos. I have been sharing the videos privately since I started the entire process which I call Jacob Goes Off Grid In The Woods. 'Day 1' is the morning after I arrived at this little place in the mountains in the 'dead of winter' on January thirteenth of two thousand and seventeen with my dogs, my wits, minimal gear and very little hard currency to work with. Slowly I have done my best to breathe life into a very old farm and give it all my best, 'learning as I go', and documenting the process as best I can. It has been quite the journey so far. @jacobpeacock
In this video I show a gutter that I constructed from some old roofing metal and some small pieces of poplar branches. I explain the construction process of the gutter itself.
I talk about how I poured a bucket of water onto the 'duck house' (the old chicken coop) roof to make sure the water was going to flow of it where I thought it would.
I talk about moving the IBC (intermediate bulk container) up the hill to the 'duck house' by myself by 'walking' it.
I talk about how I am going to position the IBC tank and the gutter to channel water directly into the tank.
As always this is just a summary of the video's content and not meant to explain everything that I cover in the video.

That was real great , so you started in 2017. How many of these videos have you made and are you planning on sharing all of them?

Thanks! That is correct. I made my first video on January 13th 2017 and have made one or more a day since then. I am not sure just how many videos there are but I am now on Day 602. I do plan on sharing all of them.
