Very sad! This is my angora (Mousse) on the back of our couch...he's not the great fiber-source that we'd hoped for, but he's part of the family.

Huh. Maybe I'll keep hoping, but he's 2.5 years old now. He is a mix of the German and French types and supposed to molt, but he only does these half-molts a couple times each year where he releases part of his undercoat and it felts into these terrible mats that we have to trip away. He hates the brush so we've been bad about that, but I do sometimes capture fur in a brush and put it away. I'll eventually have enough to card and spin.

you have to brush every other day or matting nightmares happen. If they get wet they felt real bad. Some people use the felt though.
