I love that we can just walk in the kitchen and pick what we want to eat. The tables are full, the fridge and freezer are full, the apothecary is full, the winter squash shelf is filling up as is the pantry.....and the gardens still have a lot more to give. What a beautiful feeling!! This is our grocery store.
Fresh foods at our fingertips. Variety. Nutrition. Deliciousness. It doesn't get much better.....

I also love going to my pantry, root cellar, garden, or freezer and preparing a great meal mostly from the farm. It's such a great feeling knowing you have a year's worth of food put away. :))
