Dead Tree Fire

So what happens when you are burning brush, and the fire gets into a dead tree? A LOT of stress! This weekend, as we helped our son get his property ready for them to move to their homestead, the fire got a little out of hand! Son had to take his truck with water pump out to put out the tree, at like midnight-thirty. His sweet wife, wasn't having it any other way!

On top of that, we ended up with a flat tire, and hubby had to make another trek out there today to change that out. Car back home now! Oh the adventures this weekend wrought!

    What is crazy to me, is the fire started at the TOP of the tree!

        No, sad to say, my son started burning a brush pile several feet from the tree, and the tree caught on fire.
