Podcast: PEACHES and Drought Resistant VEGGIES - Canning Information 🎤 [Audio Included]

in homesteading •  7 years ago

This week the peaches are in and we are busy canning all of the harvest. We've made one trip to the peach orchard and picked a bunch of free stone type peaches. These are great for your pies and cobblers. We will make another trip to the orchard to pick the cling stone variety that are perfect for canning just like the store bought. They hold their shape better when canned and are more of a show variety. Both are delicious!

Here is a link to the article we discussed in the podcast. This is a wonderful link to those who are new to canning peaches!

I'm so sad to hear about Linden. I really resonated with that couple as our dream is to eventually build our own home. My heart goes out to her

Thank you

Getting caught up from the weekend and heard you mention a Steemit video...looking forward to that. Zac because of you I joined Steemit and right now, at least, I am only commenting. Maybe one day I will post my own info.

This was another awesome show and as I just sat back and listened and watch the chatters it does not take long to see new to your channel understand why you are popular! Awesome work Zac and Jaimie...resteemit..

Awesome instructional!

Thank you for sharing such yumminess!

Peaches look fresh and inviting. Nothing like peach cobbler. We should all do "canning". Build a stock for good eating and stock supply for future calamity, maybe. Hopefully not.
