Making Homemade Mayo

Welcome To Maine Homestead Project

When you have lots of eggs, or you just love to cut costs and know what your food is made of, this is a great way to  make a high cost ingredient you use in so many dishes! I grew up on Miracle Whip, but since I have been making this recipe for several years now and I believe I have perfected it, we will not eat anything else. My husband loves it, and everyone I serve it to loves it. Please give it a try and I know you will love it too. And it is so easy, it is made in the same container it is stored in! What's not to love?

sweetener to taste (optional)

Directions

I now add all the ingredients to the jar before I add the oil, But do it however you like, There is no need to stream the oil in as you blend it. Just add it all to the jar and blend, slowly raising the blender up to get all the oil incorporated, taste to see if it needs additional seasonings or sweetener to your taste. Store in your fridge.
