A snowy drive home. Quick tour via pics

Editing to add these two: because torico mentioned b&w in the comments, I went back and tried some filters on my phone. Which is better, black and white (above) or cool-vivid (below)?

Yesterday was the kind of freakish weather day in which I picked up my kids in town in clear weather; halfway home on the main county road, I began to see snowflakes, as well as white clouds enveloping the distant hills; and by the time I turned off onto the backcountry road that leads to our house, I had driven into this:

The good thing about living way out on “country rooooads” is that you can just stop smack in the middle of the road to take pictures. I think a snowfall is just gorgeous!

I love the starkness of the walnut trees against the snow cloud behind them. Plus you see the progression of accumulation on the ground!

Been awhile since somebody came this way

At this point I’m glad I drive a Subaru. It’s also at this point that most people driving to our house begin to question whether they’ve gotten lost.

We made it home and enjoyed getting out to play in the snow!
