Homesteading Benefits of Using Turmeric in Everyday Usage

Let's discuss why you should use turmeric in everyday life. So I get to use the turmeric on regular basis but often I have not mentioned where I am supposed to be mentioning like in my blogs and the logs. Turmeric seems to be a good option for food, medicine, and other usage so let's discuss about it. I never posted about it before as far as I remember, so here goes.

So where to make use of the turmeric?

Food
The most common use in the Indian and south asian dishes, you'd find the turmeric. They make use of it to avoid stomach and digestion issues. If you are homesteading then you should keep one packet of turmeric powder in the stockpile. It minimizes the strong flavors from affecting the digestive system. It is also being used as central ingredient in many dishes and drinks. Like say drinking turmeric milk is good for stomach and throat during sickness.

Medicine
Another area where you'd find the use of the turmeric is in beauty paste or gel. Here the turmeric paste is often used on the wounds and it is being used for face wash and other options where you can use it to clean the face. Turmeric powder is also used on the wounds. You can also use the turmeric powder on acne and around the wound to disinfect the wound.

Cleaning
A big part of the natural cleaning is through the usage of the neem and the turmeric. You can use the turmeric water to reduce the small bacteria in some areas. People also use the turmeric to clean the floor in some places like temples etc. It can get rid of lot of bacteria and the insects too. So it's worth keeping around.
